My educational journey started in Kindergarten at Wellman ISD. After graduating from Wellman High School, I attended Wayland Baptist University in Plainview and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree (major: Business Secretarial; minor: Physical Education). 

I received secondary certification in Business Administration and Physical Education. In 2014, the certification of K-12 Special Education was added to my repertoire, and in 2016, I added Technology Applications.

I am certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist in Word.

Married April 22, 1995, my husband and I have raised yours, mine, and ours. I have learned to adapt to various situations with love and firmness. My children at home and in the classroom are held to high expectations of positive behavior. I believe we all rise to the expectations placed on us.

Our youngest, Katrina, is enrolled at Lubbock Christian University working toward an Engish major and Mission minor. After a summer of studying in Malindi, Kenya, with the Missions Department, she made my heart sing with the announcement that she believes God wants her to teach English in public school. :)

Maxx, our cairne terrior, has adapted well to our move to the country. Although he is 15 years old, he loves chasing rabbits and low-flying birds. Don’t worry, my friend, no rabbit or bird is ever harmed, as Maxx is too old to catch them, but it is a great workout for him!
